Car Seat Policy Translux USA – Child Car Seat Policy (Florida)
To Our Valued Clients,
At Translux USA, your child’s safety is our highest priority. To ensure every journey is safe and compliant with Florida law, please review our child passenger restraint policy below.
1. Passenger Installation Responsibility
- Parent/Guardian Installation Required: In accordance with our liability insurance, parents or guardians are solely responsible for installing and securing all child car seats.
- Driver Restrictions: Chauffeurs are not permitted to install or assist with the installation of any car seat. This protects both our passengers and our team from insurance liability issues.
- Child Security: Passengers must ensure that each child is properly secured in the appropriate seat before the vehicle departs.
2. Florida Child Restraint Laws
In compliance with Florida Statutes Section 316.613, the following requirements apply:
- Ages 0–3: Must be secured in a separate carrier or a vehicle manufacturer’s integrated child seat.
- Ages 4–5: Must be secured in a separate carrier, integrated child seat, or booster seat.
- Ages 6–17: Must use a seat belt at all times.
Service Compliance: Chauffeurs may refuse service if a child is not secured in an age‑appropriate restraint as required by state law.
3. Provision of Child Seats
- Client‑Provided Seats: We encourage clients to bring their own car seats for optimal fit and familiarity.
- Rental Seats: Car seats may be rented through Translux USA and must be requested at the time of booking.
- Condition of Rentals: Rental seats must be returned in the same condition in which they were provided. A cleaning fee may apply if professional cleaning is required after use.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain the highest safety standards for our youngest passengers.
